We understand that our clients’ inventions, brands, creative expressions, and confidential trade secrets are among their most valuable assets. Protecting these assets are a priority. Equally important is monitoring the rapid changes in technology and the law that continually shape and affect patents, copyrights, and trademarks. Our attorneys keep abreast of these developments and use their knowledge to better advise our clients on the most effective strategies and practices for protecting their intellectual property in our digital age. We also aggressively pursue our clients’ interests, whether through copyright, trademark, or patent infringement actions, or related actions, in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
Fundamental, generational shifts in the United States workforce; new state and federal rules and regulations governing employers large and small; the continuous, rapid march of technology; the pervasiveness of social media in the workplace – these are but a few issues that employees and employers face today. We understand the issues from each side’s perspective. We have experience counseling both employees and employers on a wide range of employment law issues, including crafting legally sound employment policies, protecting an employer’s confidential information from being misappropriated, and safeguarding employee rights by tackling discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Our breadth of experience gives us a unique perspective when representing our clients’ interests.
Business disputes arise frequently. When representing our clients, we make every effort, where practicable, to resolve such disputes pre-litigation, through discussion, mediation, and negotiation. However, when an early resolution is not possible, we aggressively pursue our clients’ rights in court. We have extensive experience both defending and prosecuting cases from commencement, through discovery, and on to trial. We work tirelessly and diligently to achieve the best results for our clients.
Arbitration and Mediation
Today, many contract disputes are subject to mandatory arbitration and/or mediation. When handled properly, arbitration may provide an expeditious resolution of a dispute. Knowledgeable and experienced counsel, familiar with the rules of various arbitral bodies, can confidently and efficiently guide a client through the arbitration process. We have represented individuals and companies in many arbitrations, both domestic and international, and are well versed in the applicable rules and procedures promulgated by the leading arbitral bodies.
